Dickens by Candlelight

Christmas Past is Now Christmas Present!

The holidays are here once again!

My, how this past year flew by.  It seems like just a month or so ago that we were planning for our first presentation of Dickens by Candlelight.  What a smashing success it was with so many enjoying tea, goodies and the warmth of a classic Christmas tale told around candlelit tables!  At the end of my blog last December I wrote, “If I could sit with each person reading this blog, I'd tell you if you have any enjoyment of A Christmas Carol or want a way to make your holiday season more special, don't miss this presentation.  It will touch your heart and be a memory you will cherish sharing with loved ones and community for years to come!”

Bringing Back the Joy!

At that time, I had no idea the number of people who would want to see this production again or share it with friends. but throughout the year I would get texts and emails, “Are you guys bringing Dickens back this year?”  So, we partnered this year with another local theater, Prairie Wind Players, in Barrett, Minnesota.  Working together has been such a joy!  Yes, we are bringing Dickens by Candlelight back again this year!

Our show in Evansville will be on Sunday afternoon, December 11th at 2 p.m. at the same place as last year, Railroad & 2nd Event Center.  Barrett will host shows on Friday & Saturday night, Dec. 9 & 10.  Tickets are $15.00 and may be purchased at the door.

Don’t Be Afraid of No Ghosts!

For those of you who missed this wonderful opportunity last December, Dickens by Candlelight is a new twist on a holiday tale as a three-person, interactive show providing theater-goers with a delightfully unique opportunity to experience A Christmas Carol the way it was intended to be told: as a Ghost Story.  The story unfolds as the actors work their way through the audience who are seated at candlelit tables of tea, coffee and Christmas goodies.

Tickets are going to go fast!

Last year we sold out in a week.  Seating is limited. I would recommend getting your tickets as quickly as possible.  It’s will be a merry time in Evansville on December 11th!  Don’t be a Scrooge and miss out.
