Erik Schultz and Annie O’Flynn will perform at September’s First Friday Concert
Erik Schultz, now retired from the working world, plays guitar, and sings. He says he has been playing guitar since the Beatles became big! At one point he quit, but picked it up again about 15 years ago and has kept going. He has been playing solo and in bands, including “Salty Dogs”, ever since.
Annie O’Flynn will be joining Erik for the performance. Annie has been playing piano since she was 8 years old. She took up accordion in 2008 to make the Irish band “Skilly & Duff” sound more authentic (plus it was a lot easier to carry around than the piano!). You may have also heard and seen the Annie playing in “Salty Dogs” as well as in other musical performances around the area.
This fun show is bound to include Blues, Bluegrass and music from the South. Get ready to clap your hands and tap your toes! The show begins at 7:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. There is no charge for this event, donations will be gratefully accepted. You may bring a treat to share at intermission if you wish. Beverages will be provided.
Evansville Art Center is handicap accessible.
