A Feast for the Eyes!

And it’s So Good!

Once again, Photo Club, along with Brandon-Evansville 4th Grade students, has offered up a wonderful, eye catching exhibit to open the Gallery. It has become a much anticipated exhibit each year and, also, once again, it did not disappoint!

Photo Club meets the first Thursday of the month all year long, taking time to learn new techniques, view each other’s work, go on “field trips” to photograph together and have a good time while doing it all. It shows! This exhibit is the culmination of the year, then the fun comes by hanging the exhibit together. Each year the photography reaches another level of incredible!

In 2017, Photo Club received a grant from Evansville Historical Foundation for the purchase of cameras and equipment to use with the students. For the first few years, the group worked with Brandon-Evansville 4th graders and with their teachers to gain experience. Now the cameras are left with the school, and photography fundamentals are presented by the instructors. Then the students are turned loose! Kids have immensely creative minds and the outcome is hanging on a wall in the Gallery! Really amazing work!

This Exhibit opened the Gallery for the season on March 7 and runs through April 26. It may be seen during regular Gallery hours of 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

If you are interested in learning more about photographic processes, techniques and having fun going on location photo shoots, please plan to attend a Photo Club meeting. They are held on the first Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Evansville Arts Center. The next meeting is May 1.
