Jazz Pianist Jay Johnson returns to the Evansville Art Center on August 5, 2022, performing for EAC’s First Friday Concert. 

Jay has attended jazz workshops and courses, including Phil Mattson’s Vocal Jazz workshop and Indianhead Arts Jazz summer workshop and continued practicing his skills. He was also a founding member of Finestra, the jazz trio out of Elbow Lake.  As a singer with the Center Singers in Fergus Falls in the 1990’s, he was inspired to “learn to play jazz piano if it kills me.”  We are so glad it did not!  His easy listening, jazz style is not to be missed!

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Performance begins at 7:00 p.m.  Bring a treat to share at intermission if you wish. Beverages provided. There is no charge for this event. Donations are gratefully accepted.
