The Jolly Pops = Family Fun!
A Concert for the Whole Family
Listen from your lawn chairs!
Kick off your Fourth of July weekend with a fun, family concert! The creative musical trio The Jolly Pops bring their upbeat, original music and children’s standards in a concert for all ages at Evansville City Park in Evansville, Minnesota on Friday July 1st with performances at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. This high-energy family performance is free and open to the public. Be sure to invite your friends and neighbors and bring your lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
Music, Movement and Fun
After ten years of touring the globe with his acoustic rock band Breaking Laces, Billy Hartong changed direction in 2016, founding The Jolly Pops to “provide music, movement and fun learning through experience.” Since then, he has recorded and toured with many Happy Dads (and a few Merry Moms). Bassist Justin Hartke and drummer Erik Schee join Hartong in their tour of Viking Library System from June 27 - July 1. All three musicians have ties to the MacPhail Center for Music in Minneapolis. Hartung is an assistant instructor at The MacPhail Center for Music serving in the Sing, Play, Learn Program for early childhood
In the event of rain, The Jolly Pops performances will be held at the Evansville Art Center, located at 111 Main Street, Evansville, MN. For more information, contact Evansville Art Center at 218-948-2787.
This program is sponsored by Evansville Art Center, Brandon-Evansville ECFE and Viking Library System, funded in part or in whole with monies from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
